Understanding the role of economic activities has always been a challenging task for everyone and it is a unavoidable task. This course is designed for undergraduate students to learn the art of understanding the functioning of the economy in the light of its mixed economic set-up, historical developments and recent reforms. It covers topics such as growth, structural change, problem of unemployment, poverty, population, agriculture, industrial sector, international trade, international financial institutions, Multinational Corporations etc. The course aims to provide a comprehensive and critical understanding of India's economic trajectory and policy debates in a changing global context.
