Understanding the role of economic activities has always been a challenging task for non-economics students and it is an unavoidable task. This course is designed for undergraduate students to learn the art of understanding the functioning of the economy in the light of its mixed economic set-up, historical developments and recent reforms. It covers topics such as growth, structural change, population, human development, Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, International trade, Agriculture, Industrial and Service Sector. The course aims to provide a comprehensive and critical understanding of India's economic trajectory and policy debates in a changing global context.

After the completion of this course, students will be able:

2. To understand the monetary and fiscal policy.
3. To understand the concept of international trade, Balance of payment and EXIM Policy.
